Automation Project

This is phase 1the automation project that I worked on to automate this one process. This was in the trial phases and the speeds of the project were increased once everything was working properly. Basic operation was to fill and cap a syringe with a precise amount of material for the Aerospace Industry. There was another device not shown that pushed the material into the syringe. We worked out all of the positioning and timing through the programmable servo drives and the PLC's. I built a prototype of another phase of this project using Arduino CPU's and stepper drives with a cost of approximately 1/10 of this one. The customer never pursued upgrading this project.
